At Mareham Le Fen Church of England Primary School we believe that is important that children have a rich and varied sports curriculum throughout all ages building up a progression of skills (these are shown on the progression documents below). We follow the 2014 National Curriculum.
We work collaboratively with our Small Aspiring Schools Partnership which consists of:
We take part in a range of sports tournaments organised by our sports providers JB Sports.
We are very proud of our wonderful facilities which our children use. Some of these include a good size hall complete with wall gymnasium equipment, a large playing field and permanently marked netball court. Our children have assess to the very best sports equipment for a wide range of sports taught on our long term curriculum plans. We have some superb sports ambassadors that lead a variety of sporting activities across the school, you can find out more about them on the children's section. We hope this page gives you a strong insight into the provision of Physical Education here at Mareham Le Fen Church of England Primary School.
Sports Coaches 2016-2017
We are pleased to announce that we have secured the services of JB Sports for another year. They will again be providing PE lessons and after school clubs throughout the school.
Sports Coaches 2015-16
JB Sports Coaching is the external provider for specialist sports which we are using this year. Here is a link to their website. http://jbsportcoaching.co.uk/. Our main coach lead in school is Mr Bent who takes the children for both PE lessons and after school clubs. However, from time to time we have other specialist coaches from JBs for topics like dance.
Previous Sports Coaches 2014-15
In 2014-15 children have had the opportunity to have some of their PE taught by CMS sports. We have also had Dance in school taught by NK dance. Both of these initiatives have been part of our sports premium allocation for the academic year 2014-15. Children have also been able to participate in sports clubs from both providers. The children have thoroughly enjoyed them!
